Much of this issue was unclear to me and in case no DC 'page by page' is forthcoming from DC...
-catchy cool cover
-great mystery and cameo with the opening sequence. Batman done right. This Works as either the Batverse or JLA version. He shouldve shaved though.
-havent gotten into the Sinestro War thing. What's the gist/update of it? Why is Superman there? And what's he doing with his arms?
-neat surreal feel to the GLC members and the Tesseract setting done with the art. Wonder if there are m/any established GL members here.
-was SG not listening because she was focussing on Supes for some reason?
-2 hours? What happened to the standard 1hour and 24hour time limits often used?
Does current Superman have a 2hr air limit?
-the silent last half of the book was vividly panaramic with very nice layouts and stark images. While visually stimulating there were some unclear moments that gave the story less meaning
Page by page QUESTIONS:
=Where was that GLC battle?
=Was it a crossover issue?
=Was she cleaning her ear?
=Was that ship travelling slow for a run back to its base?
=Why did she rip off the portaldevice necklace?
=Was she caught in a solar flare and knocked out of her shadow position in target range?
=Did the ship fly close to the sun on purpose?
=Did the bloody eyes make sense? Would Superman bleed on his deathbed? This is a nitpick 'cuz the scene looked cool.
=Burns to Superman's arms?
=Ch'p on steroids?
=She leaves the battle, Supes' side, despite her failed mission? Keeps the portaldevice?
=Two hours? What did I miss?
=On the last panel, the excellent detail to her wristflaps begs the sidebar question... Is this fashion accessory called 'wristflaps'?
