I'm going to try and not spoil this. Since there really isn't and dialogue, per se, you can't.
I will say, it was one of the best comics i have purchased this year. If you are a dog lover and know dogs, then understanding what is going on will be easy. Not only do people who own dogs, take care of them, but a bond is formed. This shows that bond from the Krypto's perspective.

Personal note: When i was very young, had a dog that was my best friend. When the family went on vacation, we left him with the neighbors. Found out when we got back, he ate very little and was in a state of depression or loneliness, because i wasn't there. When i returned, his spirit returned to him.
Dogs, animals in general, speak volumes. You just have to listen.
