Since Jonathan was still alive and Clark had already left home and was attending college, I'd say "No". In the movies, Jonathan died while Clark was in high school. They even intended the Superboy series to end on a cliffhanger and lead into a theatrical movie where the actor would begin playing SuperMAN and the movie series would be rebooted. Things didn't work out that way, but even with the events seen on the show (including the fact Clark was publicly known as Superboy long before Superman appeared), it's plain this was a different universe from the Chris Reeve films.

To be honest, though, they tried their damndest to tie into the Reeve films (if in a revisionist way), like when Superboy meets his parents in Season 2. The way they did the clothes, the hair, to the way they speak... they were definitely wanting you to think of the S:TM version of Krypton/Jor-El & Lara.

Oh, absolutely. The Salkinds were involved, so naturally they'd stick with what they'd already done... Except the movie had Jonathan die when he did and had Clark first appear as SuperMAN, with nobody having ever seen the costume before, let alone a person who could fly. I'd say the show was one or two ticks away on the multiverse spectrum. Close, but not exactly the same.

No. It's Donner Earth-One. The movies are Donner Earth-Two (except "Superman Returns," which is Donner Earth-Two with a retcon punch). And, yes, that makes "Smallville" Donner Earth-Three. But, really, that seems kind of appropriate. omike015 ![]() kandor.monkeylord.net (10.0.1.245) using Fortress Kryptonian Browsing Matrix v1.9.38 (0 points) | |

The Superboy series had its own multiverse. It's very possible for the donner movies to take place in that multiverse. John Martin, citizen & rightful ruler of the omniverse.

Wouldn't that make Smallville's Earth 2 Donnor's Earth 4? And aren't Earth 3s supposed to be evil? And yet Smallville's Clark was usually good, and its Earth 2 Clark was bad and ended up known as Ultraman. I'm confused. Does this make one of the Salkinds the Anti-Monitor? Or, would that be Cannon Films?

Does that mean SMALLVILLE is still on TV with new episodes somewhere, if I can find the right channel 2?
