I could see if this was the Hulk or some other character doing this to the Destroyer armor but it's Thor with his fists!

This board has become pretty depressing over the years..

Like Thor jobs and it's the end of the world but then he gets some shine at the expense of his Rouge gallery and it's the end of the world again! Lol!

I don't particularly see the Hulk punching any harder than Thor. What's more, the Destroyer's Armor is similar to a Celestial Armor in its composition, and is further reinforced to an unbelievable degree by the Enchanted powers of many Sky Lords (including Odin himself). Thus, Thor shouldn't be able to cause ANY significant damage at all to the Destroyers Armor with his fists. In fact, you add the Hulk strength to Thor, and the result should be the same. The Armor should be countless times more powerful and durable than Mjolnir. These writers are messing Continuity so bad that NOTHING makes any sense at all.

Agree again.. and this makes it seems as if many of these Thor's fans are psychologically just a little on the masochists side, IMHO.. They don't seem to ENJOY Thor kicking ass in the least..

Still I'll take that over Thor getting smothered by Hulks arm...

Aaron for all his faults still at least tries to make up for any bad showings Thor has by giving him equally crazy awesome feats!

I mean he doesn't owe us anything so I appreciate when at least he tries to give us something at least.

But I think that's been the norm for most of us Thor fans the past couple decades or so...

I understand what you're saying.. Still, all these effort by Odin creating an Armor similar to that of the Celestials, and all the incredible power that was bestowed upon it by none other than ALL the Earth's Sky Lords- to just have Thor dent it with a mere punch? It clearly defeats the purpose of such creation, don't you think? I don't think Continuity have to suffer in order for Thor to properly show what he can do.

For instance, I would like to see Thor teleport an entire Planet that's 10 times the size of Jupiter- that is heading in a collision course towards Earth- to a safe place in another Galaxy without making such a big fuss about it.. Also, I would like to see Thor materialize entire bases full of people to Mars, and Moons around Jupiter and Saturn. Similarly, I would like to see Thor show his warrior skills in competition against the best and the most powerful Elite fighters in a 100 Galaxies or so without utilizing Mjolnir. Most of all, show what he can do using Mjolnir at Warp speed creating Hurricane Forces against an invading space Army fill with literally millions of super advanced Space Ships. There's really no limit to what Thor can actually do, but what he needs the most is a writer that actually cares at all about him and his fans..

It was supposed to be made of a metal that was even harder and more durable than Uru or Adamantium. Right now, in the hands of certain writers the Destroyer powers and durability has been officially nerfed to soft lead or even aluminum status. Well, it took over 40 years for some disrespectful writer to messy it all up.

How is this supposed to help Thor? Now the Destroyer can be physically mangled. I see no upside.

A feat that depends on watering down essential traits of another character never raises the stock of the character on the positive side of the feat. Just like when Superman kept tanking the Omega Effect. It ended up in Darkseid being a laughing stock for years.

You say Now the Destroyer looks weak as opposed to Thor just being that much more powerful!

Saying the Destroyer is weak now defeats the purpose of this feat right here!

And if such thoughts get passed around they can thank you for being one of the minds to help such thoughts grow!

To me the Destroyer is as powerful as it's always been and Thor is just that much more powerful now!

But by all means if you prefer to think Thor is looking bad by hitting on a tin can and aluminum foil Destroyer, well that's on you.

If Thor punches the head off Galactus one day, but can’t handle Hulk the next, who receives the benefits of the Galactus feat?

I understand that Thor doing this to the Destroyer means that he should wreck any being whose been inferior to the Destroyer in the past...
Like a Hulk...
But we all Know Hulk like Thor has been giving a major upgrade in power as well...

But yeah if Thor gets knocked on his butt by some nobody it complicates things and leads to negative responses.

Because they Make no sense and the only explanation we'll get is "we don't care about power levels only stories"

Even though the stories themselves end up looking worse because of that.

They need to learn to be able to fit the scale in and write creatively while doing so.

But lazy writing contagious.

Jason Aaron is the worst thing that ever happened to Thor. As if his desecration of Thor wasn’t enough, now he’s defecating on the Destroyer. How this can be perceived as a good showing for Thor is beyond me.
