So, yeah. Basically, everything before Civil War number 7 is a complete waste of time. Both sides are just going to fight it out.
All of this bloated, out of character nonsense and it's unreasonable length and delays, all for nothing. This basically could have been one issue. Thanks a lot, marvel.

...Boycott! I read so many complaints here concerning these comic books but it appears that these complainers actually buy the book! How can that be? How can you buy something that you don't like?

No wonder sales are so high. This sends a message to Marvel (who is predominantly concerned with sales figures over everything... even over quality) that they need to create more like this... That they need to derail the Marvel Universe into something else because "people like it".

Well if you like Civil War then... get some taste and read a real book for a change! No... Just kidding actually. If you like then buy it. Can't really change that. More power to you; I wish you luck.

If you don't like it stay away from it like the plague (that it is). By buying this book you send a message to Marvel to "keep it up".

Also have you noticed that the people who really tout this book are the "industry types" in other words the folks that see the money (like the Wizard gang)? Comic Book Resources features Marvel's blurb on Civil War (written by Marvel) stating that Civil War is "critically aclaimed". Huh? Look, I'm not majoring in literature or anything but I can tell you that "War and Peace" this ain't! It's not even Busiek's Avengers or "The Dark Knight". Bendis is good but he's no Gerber, Moore, Morrison or even Ellis. Maybe because people are fooled into buying this thing as it's "commercially acclaimed" but I'd like to see some REAL literary criticism on "Civil War".

Maybe I'll actually buy a copy (sending Marvel the wrong message of course) and give it to my lit professor for review. >:-D
