I really haven't been this excited about the Avengers in a long time, but there are some things coming down the pike (Mighty Avengers and the "new" New Avengers line-up)that I just wait for!!! There is so much characterization (post Civil War) that is going to have such an impact on this team in particular, that It's going to be near impossible for the "two teams" to co-exist without getting into brawls. Let us not forget that this is in addition to the pre-Civil War crap going on between Hank Pym, Jan and Clint...not to mention Wanda. I don't know what's going on with Prieto right now, or how whatever it is pans out, but he'll probably want to punch out Clint when he finds out he "had" his sister Wanda! I think that the Avengers franchise is going to blow the X-Men away!!! We are beginning to have all of these 70's and 80's Marvel icons finally sign up with the Avengers. Soon, much like DC's JLA, there won't be many heroes who haven't served on the team. 2007 is going to be a great ride, and I can't wait.

Sigh... Sorry for being a spoilsport but I'm tired of this term being thrown around so much as if before Bendis and Co. there was no characterization. I think people are fooled by talking heads and no action and equate that with "characterization".
Anyways, glad to see at least some people are excited about what the future brings the Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
