With all this talk against Bendis writing the Avengers, whom would you like to see take up the job, telling the tales of Earth's Mightiest Heroes?
Personally, I didn't mind Bendis' early Marvel work, particularly his early DD run.
I don't think it's a good idea to have him on both Avengers books though. It seems to me to be a bit of an overkill.
If I had to choose a new writer for the title, I'd like to see John Francis Moore as writer.
But, as always, what do you think?
Abe.

Brian K. Vaughan's written two team books I really enjoyed -- Runaways and Ultimate X-Men. I'd be interested in seeing what he could do with an adult cast in Avengers.

A Joss Whedon Avengers would be something special. I have the random desire to see Thor as part of that lineup.

I'm hoping Ed Brubaker gets a run on Avengers eventually.

At this point, I don't want to see Robert Kirkman or Dan Slott. Avengers is too high profile and I've yet to see them write anything up to those standards. Their best stuff so far has been written for smaller audiences. My opinion of Slott may change with his Initiative project, but Kirkman's work on Ultimate X-Men hasn't given me faith.
