SW is one of the least accessible characters outside of the Avengers, and almost never operates without them. However, there are other instances of her acting solo, including in Avengers Vol. 1, No. 153.

I Seem to Recall Claremont in XMEN the 1st Time they Bumped Off Jean Grey. He said they had done all they could with the character because she wasn't interesting. Making her Dangerous/Evil was al;l they could think of.
Maybe the same thing is happening here. Seems like EVERYONE has Nailed Her and maybe that's a plot twist. Try and Imagine a Solo Story... Unless she's a Hot Babe in a Tight Outfit??? Not so Interesting,Characterwise.
