Image, specifically Jim Lee already did this, almost. When he first introduced Wildcats, the Damenoites had possessed the then VP Dan Quayle. Dan Quayle was one of the villains of the piece.

Heck, just look at the Secret Empire and Black Lama stories of 1970s Marvel.

Frankly, I think comics should have the guts to do more stories like this.
