Recently I purchased some back issues, trying to fill holes, but now I have a couple questions. In Avengers #36-39, of the Heroes Return series, why was Iron Man in his classic armor? Also, why were there two Hank Pym's, and what came of both of them? And finally, what happened to Triathalon, the Triune, Pagan & Master Templar?

Any info is appreciated,

I think that was just after his modern armor came alive and started killing people, so Tony went retro to avoid it happening again.

I don't remember what caused it, but for a time Hank was two people: the scientific and emotionally detached Hank Pym and the emotional and impulsive Yellowjacket. The two halves were eventually brought together to stop either Hank from fading away.

I liked the storyline, but I really hated that Hank permanently became Yellowjacket after that. The rationale was that he could be both emotional and scientific, but the negative implications of the name and costume are a bit much for me.

The Triune guys haven't been seen since, but Triathlon had a few guest appearances and is now a regular on Avengers Initiative. Supposedly he'll be taking on the name "3-D Man" soon to be a full-fledged Skrull-hunter.
