This was a fight issue. But I totally agree that the fight was really hard to follow. Did Wolvering stick Luke Cage to block some bullets? I had to look, like, nine whole times.
But I also think we'll be coming back to this issue during the Skrull business for some subtle hints dropped all over the place.
Meanwhile, I love to see Jones knocking on the giant Avengers door. What is that an homage to? It smacks of something.
I have no idea how World War Hulk fits in to this right now. Grrr...

In 30 years plus of reading Avengers this was one of the best weeks ever with Mighty 8, NA Annual 2, Initiative and the over achieving HOM arriving at once. Sure the issue was mostly a big fight with many villains getting little to no coverage but the issue was also emotionally gripping and forwarded the plot some.

1. Strange is seemingly leaving the team and abandoning the team.
2. Jessica is registering and abandoning Luke to protect their child.
3. Wong Unleashed!

Sometimes New Avengers reads like the book of Job. What will Bendis put these poor guys through next?
