I think that was covered in his mini-series. They never revealed who the mother of the kid was did they? I thought it was even implied that it could be one of the woman in the Avengers. In Mighty Avengers #1, Iron Man and Ms. Marvel are putting the team together and they say they need a "wolverine"-type and a "thor"-type. Ms. Marvel says she can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. That's how they get Ares.

and how does Carol Danvers know where Ares is, right down to his construction worker job? Could it be that the real way she escaped Limbo (before Rogue attacked her) was Ares offered a trade, her freedom for her being his brood mare?
