Tigra's one of my 2 favorite characters, the other being the Thing. Maybe I have a thing for orange superheroes with 5-letter names that start with a T. I've been a fan since her Marvel Chillers days back in the mid-1970's. Actually, back in the mid-1970's, a fight between her and Wolverine would have been interesting because both got respect back then; of course, nowadays, such a fight would be ugly because Wolverine's vastly overrated. (I've seen him survive being dropped in a vat of molten metal and having all his flesh burned off.) As for HTH fighting skills, in all honesty I'd put Tigra more on a par with Hellcat, Silver Sable, Mockingbird, and Black Cat than Black Widow (who IMO is 1 tier higher), but of course on top of the skill Tigra has near-Spidey physical stats, strength, agility, speed, etc.

Tigra is in a class well beyond Mockingbird, Silver Sable, Hellcat, etc. She's not just a human acrobat in a bikini...She has enhanced animal-like senses at least on par with Black Panther and probably as keen as Wolverine's. SHe has
SUPER strength, not just olympic level or peak-human strength and dexterity. She can also run at least 70mph..she's quick, stealthy, has claws which can slash through metal...And don't forget: she has empathic sensitivity too. Not to mention all the enhancements which resulted from her training before she became The Cat (photographic memory, etc.)
Why does she wear the bikini?? It's too tempting to blame her and claim she's a "floozy". No...the sad fact is it's the writers/artists/editors at Marvel who keep her in a bikini and then diss her character. Look at all the guys who used to wear speedos: ROBIN, THE BEAST, NAMOR, THE THING, etc...now they all wear spandex shorts or other gear more appropriate for combat. But not Tigra...why? 'She's hot dude it and more fun to draw and see her running around in a thong' It's pure sexism.
They should give the lady a break and deck her out in something much more appropriate - then maybe other talent and the readership will at least start to take her seriously.
