Previous Post Maybe we should rename her the Black Widow, since two of her former flames have recently died (Richard Rider and Johnny Storm). But I agree, her grief is something that should be addressed, and the whole space-opera isn't a natural environment for an ocean-based character. She needs to get back to Earth pronto.

Yes, and it is ironic that they both had "human" in their titles (Human Torch & Human Rocket), but while it could indeed be said that Nova died, in part, saving her life (though actually choosing to stay in the Cancerverse to fight Thanos), Johnny's death has nothing to do with Nita... in fact, he doesn't/didn't even know she's alive since as far as he's concerned she's still dead. I had a passing thought that she would be perfect for the FF, but I get the feeling the writers want to play up the "threesome" angle for a while. Nita is already grieving over the loss of Rich, and this version of Nita actually never had the affair with Johnny, so while she will likely grieve as though she's lost a brother, I can't imagine she'll grieve for losing Johnny "as a former lover." But I digress...

Her first reunion should be with Namor & her mom (and new Atlantis, since she probably doesn't know where Namor moved it since it was desroyed back when Iron Man was trying to capture Namor for having Sleeper Cells, kidnapping Nitro and Kamar, Namor's son, calling war with the USA). Heck, Nita has no idea her Mom is alive.... yet.

Nita has been in the FF and Defenders, but never the Avengers. She's a natural. And, while I wouldn't mind seeing her adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy, like you, I don't think Space is the right format for her (at least not without a power boost).
