yes my wife said the same thing about caps uniform except he looked alot smaller in it it was like spandex not like in the captain america movie!

In principle, I'm ok with Cap's uniform being different from it was in his solo movie: brighter, less practical looking, more super-hero-ish and less soldier-ish, etc. Remember, Agent Colston said something about needing a symbol. And remember, most of the pictures of Captain America everyone has grown up seeing are probably from his public, "dress uniform" worn primarily while he was in stage shows in the first part of the movie.

Of course, there was good reason for Cap switching to a more practical, leathery uniform that actually afforded him protection, rather than the stage costume. However, I'm thinking that seventy years later S.H.I.E.L.D. has access to more crazy, futuristic (or presentistic, I guess) materials that can offer protection without sacrificing style.

That said, I understand that some of y'all's complaint isn't "Cap looks different from in his own movie", but rather "Cap looks stupid". I can't really speak to costume- creation, or what other looks were practically possible, but yeah maybe I'm on board a little for that one.

By the way, did anyone else think it was funny that "Down-Time Cap" wore a blue spandex shirt that looked kind of like his uniform but without the stars & stripes?
