See, I think the Pym/Vision/Ultron story is inevitable for Avengers 2 or 3. There just isn't another Avengers villain with the same personal connection to the team.

You want Avengers agnst? Pym's your man.

I don't think it's inevitable, as there's a possibility we won't see the Pym/Ultron story line in any Avengers movie.

Pym/Ultron in the second Avengers movie would be a bit much and would take some time to develop the conflict plus whatever else they want to introduce in the film. The second Avengers movie would have to focus on the team, focus on individual characters, possibly focus on new members, focus on the villain, etc. The last part is troublesome if they have to develop the villain and develop the conflict in the same movie. The first movie was already long enough, and it already had established heroes, a villain, and a lot of the story in place.

I could see the second Avengers movie follow a similar path that the first one did. Bring the main characters back together (Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk), bring in some characters from other movies (Falcon from Captain America 2, Pym and Wasp from Ant-Man), and then setup the villain and conflict. I'd also expect them to set up some more of the cosmic stuff, such as Mar-vell and Ms. Marvel, leading to either a cosmic-focused Avengers 3 or even to place more focus on some of their cosmic properties like Nova or Guardians of the Galaxy.

One thing I was disappointed with in the Avengers movie is that it didn't set up any other properties or movies. Lots of characters could have had a 5 minute scene as a SHIELD agents such as the Pyms, Falcon, Danvers, Wendall Vaughn, and many others. The only real hint we got for the future was "Phase Two", supposedly a tech based initiative at SHIELD, possibly hinting at the Ant-Man movie. But perhaps due to the idea that Iron Man 2 was "too inclusive" Marvel wanted to focus more on the movie itself and not setting up other things.
