Titanic did not have a strong opening but was in theaters forever. It did a good job at holding on and bringing in a consistant amount but it was in theaters for over a year. Also this movie(Avatar) held very well for a while and was out forever.


Neither was actually in theaters a year, but it seemed like it I am sure.
actual time AVATAR: 234 days in release. TITANIC: 287 days.
