I am doubtful of that, for a few reasons. I think the movie will have a bit opening, but at the same time I am still doubtful that it will hit the incredible opening of the Avengers. One prime reason is it will not have the 3D tickets to help out. Both movies are well hyped going in, although I am not sure the fervor Avengers had is shared by TDKR. I could be wrong though.
Is it possible that TDKR will break DK total? Maybe, I think it is possible. It has a good chance of breaking 500 million domestic but I do not think it has quite the hype Avengers does. The trailers look ok to me but not great. So I think big opening and then it drops off faster than Avengers but benefits from stronger weekday numbers being released during the summer and all.
