Taskmaster's attending a villain bar in this issue, with a policy that all bar fights are to the death, and Venom's attempting to interrogate him. We aren't sure why he's there YET... could just be a scouting trip to absorb skills. Whiplash is the Iron Man 2 movie version that first appeared in Iron Man vs. Whiplash #1... the original is still safely dead. Some of the villains include Constrictor, the entire Circus of Crime, Whiplash, the new Vengeance, and a legion of others that were partially identified elsewhere on the board.

Whirlwind was just a crook as the Human Top... but even then, he was infiltrated into Jan's life attempting to get close, which looks much creepier in light of later revelations.

Battles too the death? The Taskmaster? So I guess that he's back too being a villian again? Sounds a bit ruthless too me, as I don't think that he's ever been portrayed that way before. Kind of a shame, as I thought that he was pretty cool on the AA team. And Constrictor? Sounds like he's back too being a bad guy again? Aaaaaahhhhh! Were the Wrecking Crew there as well? Crossbones? Purple Man? Bushwacker? Was this the super villian bar with no name? I'm kind of curious. Is the book still $2.99? Love me some super villians.

As for Whirlwind, was he ever a killer before that whole prostitute storyline? That sounds a bit sick.
