Obviously, Claremont's version of Captain Britain is back ! \:\|

When he was writing Excalibur, he was always trying to mimic what Alan Moore had done with the character : a 3 dimensional character instead of an archetypal super-hero.

Unfortunately, Chris Claremont may be talented but he is no Alan Moore.

(Nota Bene : it looks like a paradox since Claremont CREATED Captain Britain in the 1970s...but Chris Claremont left the series after just ten issues, because his view of the character and series was very different from that of the editor ...)

Thus, that's how Brian Braddock became an impulsive and dumb alcoholic bully and how Meggan started to have feelings for Nightcrawler who looked like the perfect "guy next door"to date.

(Of course, it is another variation of the "Scott Summers/Jean Grey/Wolverine" triangle).

A few years later, Alan Davis became the new writer and corrected the damage done to the character.
