Earlier this summer I had heard rumours of a rerelease with a director's cut. I guess this isn't happening right now.

It seems to me that if they released a different cut of the film it wouldn't be a fair win if it did beat Titanic. Do people normally count the re-releases of Star Wars to add directly to the tally? Of course for the most part that was just 3D and added CGI.
