Quote: And Magneto is an X-Man, and a bunch of villians who have done worse have been anti-heroes or have had redemption stories or retired (t least temporarily.). I still don't think that he would make an Avenger though, because of Hank and Jan. Would they really let him on the team?
Doom's being an FF member makes no sense- he KILLED Cassie, who the FF knew. Similarly, Mystique being an ally of the X-Men after killing Moira and Frenzy being an ally of the X-Men after killing Sharon Friedlander make no sense.

And Sabretooth. The Avengers wouldn't be adverse too having an ex-villian on the team. I enjoy redemption stories as long AS they fit the villian. Like the Sandman, the Taskmaster (He wasn't really all that bad was he?), the Beetle, Songbird, guys like those. Sabretooth is definitely the wrong candidate for redemption, and I believe that they even tried the same thing with Mister X over in Thunderbolts. Still, I agree, Whirldwind on the team would be bad, and I'm glad that it didn't happen. But I would loved too have seen Geoff's MOE storyline.
