Quote: I think Thor as an Avenger has run its course, for now anyway. I don't think Bendis really has any idea how to write him, and he really hasn't done a whole lot in the Avengers books lately worthy of someone that is supposed to be as powerful as Thor. I don't know if he will be an Avenger during Marvel Now, but for some reason I just have Thor fatigue, and would like him to go away for awhile. I don't find his character all that interesting and would much rather see the focus on someone like the Hulk as the heavy hitter on the team. I think that would be a more interesting dynamic, and it seems that Marvel is trying to bring the Hulk to the forefront after stealing the show in the Avengers movie. Thor just seems like a afterthought.
Well, Hulk sort of stole the show but they did well not to overexpose him in the movie and he was more of the novelty of him I think. I liked him in the movie.
Thor is the most reliable big gun the Avengers have had. Even though he left for various times he is not like a Hulk. I like both of them being on the team and all, but I think the issue now is most writters are not sure what to do with Thor and just have him as a brute with a hammer. It seems to be what he is under Matt Fraction. So he is honestly not worth having if that is all that he is.

That's not all he is. Marvel has forgotten how to write Thor. They should ask Stan.
