Don't get me wrong, there are some interesting ideas here but I have a strong feeling the hype will lead to a big let down.
The Avengers roster is too big. There's a reason 6-7 has been the average size of a team roster. Too many members means too many get forgotten or thrown into the background. Who cares if Sunspot and Cannonball join the team if they contribute as much as Storm did during her stint? Not sure how they'd do a scene with the team being overpowered by a foe.
Too many mutants in the Avengers. I do believe there are plenty of mutants who deserve the chance to shine, but it should be in a way makes sense for the story that's being told, not throwing in random mutants as a post avx sign of peace between the teams. And as any honest fan of both Avenger and X-titles should know, especially after AvX, "heroes of Earth" and "hated and feared by those they protect" have never mixed well. Can't even imagine how they'd write Thor in a fight against mutant-killing groups.

He did fine against the Marauders during the Mutant Massacre. Does that count?
