No one posted when it came out in 2013. If it's considered in continuity then where would it place? Whether before or after Nova met Thor during AvX Prologue, their meeting here doesn't really jive, does it? On the plus side, Thor has had fun dynamic whenever him and Sam have appeared together so far.

The talking heads debate of "WHAT IS A HERO" seemed fairly balanced with worded opinions. But Cap's arguement that heroes should be allowed to wear individual 'uniforms' as opposed to 'costumes' didn't really feel that true to his Civil War stance that secret identities for heroes was the real issue with what do-gooders wear. [Sidebar: The profile of Cap's helmet looks weird the way the chinstrap is shown.]

Iron Man's awesome armor access to data gathering was presented very neatly. Still, it seemed a little convenient that Iron Man can access and scan superhuman secret identities and bio-verification that quickly only when the plot/pacing calls for it. There's no canon moment we saw that he should know it's Sam Alexander, right?

Cage's and She-Hulk's casual presence was force but, boyoboy, they did add to that excellent team rush on the final page poster ending. No need to even mention MODOK's revolving door cameo. It would've been nicer to see Jan speak up more. Overall, something like this would have made a better jump on .NOW issue than some of the ones we're getting - if the lineup was accurate of course. \:\)

I miss Dad and Dan.

Nice story, about the values and reasoning of being a hero especially coming from a younger hero.

A problem I had with Bendis was he would write without having done any homework or wrote and forgot what he had previously written. I would say the story takes place after Avengers #34. A nice little tie in could have been he was asked to show up regarding his decision to join the Avengers and seeing him being distraught they ask him what is on his mind.
Also him being in high school isn't he to young for membership? How old is Stature, Cho and Rage? I think Rage is about 18-19 yrs old now.
I think the Avengers should look at the younger heroes and see they are their mentors and perhaps the next step in Young Avengers should be not just honorary but as Avengers in Training and have 2-3 Avengers as there trainers. (The Avengers rotate).
Still would like to see Nova join the team even as a reserve or as Avenger in Training. Maybe a cross over with the Avengers and New Warriors. Cap and Justice talk and think it would be good for Nova to also train with the Avengers. Justice not wanting another Stanford Connecticut.
