Seriously, did anyone understand Steve Rogers' return from the dead? Here's my best take on it and I really don't think I got it...
Skull has Crossbones kill Steve. Steve's body is buried. Steve's soul finds itself in some heaven dimension (as per a single issue of Thor, which may not be accepted as literal). Skull them digs up Steve's body and heals it back to working quality. Skull then reunites Steve's body with Steve's soul, but puts both into a pocket dimension. This dimension has some physical reality or else why would Skull need to put Steve's body in it? Presumably Skull's access to this dimension or this dimension itself is somewhat limited, because he cannot use it to further his ambitions. Steve escapes from this dimension back into the present real world and defeats the Skull.
What is Skull's motive in any of this? Is he just torturing Steve?

I thought Crossbones only wounded Cap, and that a brainwashed Sharon Carter then shot him with 'time bullets', thus displacing him from this reality?
