The focus of this arc has been Spider-Girl, Anya Corazon.

This was easily her best characterization this arc. And the characterization of Tony Stark was SO GOOD! His dialogue with her was iron-ically rich and had refreshing choreographed pacing instead of talking heads. If only the art was better than servicable then this issue would have deserved a lot more lauding. Even Cap was bestowed a respectable -and obviously appropriate- leadership minor appearance. With Avengers Assembled on the last page, can not wait 'til next issue to see if the writers can handle the entire "Hickman" team as well, together, as opposed to the "AA" team that typically appears in this title's roll call. It seems so much more promising than the shared line-up that was written in forced Infinity crossover. When it comes to villainesses, Toxie Doxie gives Vlad the Impaler a run for his money with her truly, disgustingly evil way/reason she ups her killcount in this issue.

Here's the preview links for everyone here:

Avengers Assemble 024

Far from perfect but quite interesting to see more details on how this Avengers book is dealing with the AIM situation

Fun (apparent) West Side Story homage and part of a fantastic Cap/IM scene discussion with Anya that results in this thread's fair question that will be clearly answered next issue of whether DeConnick & Ellis will earn the right to add the newest member since the relaunch:
