Personally, I've always felt that Johnny was the only member of FF not worthy of being an Avenger. But I'd be just as happy if he were still dead. Unless they're going to continue having Sue be his surrogate mommy or getting in immature fights with Ben, he really doesn't have much use.

I don't have any particular love for the character. But it doesn't make sense to me in a scenario where the Avengers were facing some huge threat and called in Reed, Sue, and Ben that those guys would just leave Johnny at home.

But it's not really even that. It's more of an OCD sort of thing about having *almost* the full set of FF characters.

I feel the same way about the Defenders. He have Dr Strange, Namor, the Hulk, Valkyrie, the Beast, and Hellcat. But no Gargoyle or Silver Surfer.

For the New Warriors, we've got Nova, Justice, Firestar, Rage, and Speedball, plus Turbo if you count Academy students. But no Namorita or Night Thrasher, who surely won't be dead forever.

You could throw in Darkhawk too, but he has only been a minor member of both the Avengers and the New Warriors.
