Quote: Will the "Ghetto Gang" be as welcomed with their retconned instant-new-team introduction as the Illuminati and Fury's 1950's Avengers were? Probably... which ain't much.Don't like calling Mighty Avengers the "Ghetto Gang." Quote: Guess: Right or wrong?I would sooner accept the Deadpool Avengers than Fury's 1950's team. Even though I hate Deadpool, I'm somehow amused by 7 DP variants dressed up as classic Avengers, especially Wade in a Wanda suit. Anyway... Kaluu too? Oh, brother! And any guesses who "Ginger" and "Mary-Ann" are? Gun-toting "Mary Ann" is clearly modeled off of Pam Grier. If this homage cover is meant to represent the cast in 1970s clothes, then it has to be Monica. Don't know who the blonde would be-- Shulkie? Because it wouldn't be White Tiger, I think. If these are actual 1970s characters, then I think it's wide open. We just don't know much about the era. Perhaps Blade/TOD characters? Rachel Van Helsing? With the sliding timeline, her history is due for some adjustments, but I don't think a 20-something Rachel when she died fits into the 1970s. City of Heroes is BACK! | |||||||
