In the latest attempt to make Carol happen, Captain Marvel squares off against Iron Man over philosophical differences (Civil War II). Meanwhile the Odinson still seems to be sidelined, and no one really thinks Jane has earned a spot in the Big 3. I think this is Carol's biggest exposure, and if the spoilers are true, they will be removing her biggest (pun intended) challenger for the #1 female Avenger from the board.

Do you think Marvel is trying to make a new Big 3? Steve (Clark), Tony (Bruce) and Carol (Diana)?

There seems to be a push for Captain Marvel yes, and it makes perfect sense to do so. I confess I have never been able to warm to the character much but she was always one of the stronger Women in Marvel her return in the 1990s has seen her popoularity and exposure gradually rise. She differs from other ladies in the MU as she is not derivative of another character (Mar-Vell has been gone for three decades) and is not particularly bound to any team, like Black Widow she is an independent. But being one of the most powerful people on earth puts her in a particular position of influence and makes her specially eligible, and logical, to become a key figure in the superhero hierarchy. If it is Marvel's intention to move her into the boys own club of Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor then I fully support the move as she deserves the position. I may not love her, but I certainly do respect her. \(yes\)
