I can't fathom this book out anymore. After a reasonable start the rough direction and purpose of the series has gradually drifted away into multiple muddled plotlines with various characters wandering in and out of them seemingly at random and for no real reason.
The targeting of Namor, now the appearance of Black Bolt - these things suggest the Squadron might be out to hunt The Illuminati of whom these two were members, but then the reasons for so decisively dealing with Namor seem not to apply to the rest of the group he was involved with. So one rule for the Prince of Atlantis and one for everyone else involved in the incursions which ended the Squadron members respective earths it seems.

With such a lack of clear purpose and direction I do not see this book lasting much longer. Which is a great shame as frankly with his Fantastic Four and All-New Invaders work James Robinson showed he was a much better writer and plotter than this current effort.

I, as a big fan of Robinson's work at DC, have been disappointed by what he has put out at Marvel.  While his FF was much maligned, I enjoyed it and felt like he was in a no win situation once the public at large became aware of the books impending cancelation. Everything else has been pretty much forgettable to some degree or another.

While Scarlet Witch and Squadron Supreme have potential I felt like the Invaders turned into Robinson trying to hard to set up the new generation of the team like he did for the Justice Society and Starman (without the same success).   As for where the SS is going, I agree that it doesn't seem to know if it will be a revenger book or something else.  I like it as a heroic book (like their trip to weird world) much better then the assassination squad of the Marvel Universe (Namor).
