Does anyone agree with me that Batman: Year One is a little bit overrated. I do think it's pretty good, and I really like the (Jim) Gordon parts, but I don't really see why people hold this storyline as the best or second best Batman story. It did have really good art. Maybe I'll re-read it again, but I think the Long Halloween was better.

People always like to dismiss Year One as overrated compare to this book or that. The truth of it is this Year One prove that Batman can be realistic and dark without going over the top like DKR. Year One gives you the perfect origin story and explains why Batman is needed in Gotham better than any story has every done.
