However my favorite is the original Dark Knight Returns.That book captured its time perfectly,using the Batman mythos to comment on the culture of America in the 80's.Great stuff.

Year One was good. Not exceptional, but good. The Long Halloween and Dark Victory are the two that really blew my mind. And it would be wrong for me not to mention Hush. Shame they really ruined a good character there.
