You can see that he has some of the essential qualities necessary to play Dent if you watch
Thank You For Smoking. Eckhardt is intelligent, articulate and conveys a carefully restrained mania in that film while, at certain times, also conveyiing a sense of pathos so that you almost feel sorry for him despite the fact that he's despicable.
A fine choice for Harvey Dent, methinks.
