Frank Miller's next project is supposed to be "Holy Terror, Batman!" where Batman defends Gotham from the real like terrorist group Al-Qaeda. I am all for realism in comic books, but this is just too much. I hope this project is not the one that Neal Adams is working on. Neal Adams would be better suited to work with Steve Englehart or Sam Hamm than Frank Miller. Steve Englehart is the definitive writer of Batman and Sam Hamm could be called the best writer of Batman since he is the one that most understands Batman's personality. I so wish Neal Adams would work on a new project with one of these professionals or both of them instead of Frank Miller. Frank Miller is a great writer but often and of late he is far too subjective with his writing, putting too much of himself in the comics, altering the characters to make them however he wants them to be without any objectivity, focusing on exploitation tactics, writing stories that are entirely nonsensical, ignoring continuity, having no consistency and just plain writting horrible stories.

I'm not aware of the'Holy Terror' project, but, I've seen the current war mentioned in many DC titles. I don't see what would be wrong, after all, Batman and Robin were in many WW 2 stories and Al Qeada is certainly a threat today. As for Steve Englehart, his recent miniseries on Joker and the 'Vote' was highly subjective.

...WWII, while not a POPULAR war (is ANY war "popular"?), still had the backing of MOST U.S. citizens.

I DON'T want to turn this into any sort of political debate, so I'll end now.

Dale, if you think this post should be deleted, please do so with my sincere apologies.
