Though the issue you mention was drawn by the legendary Neal Adams. I was lucky enough to pick up a readers' copy for cheap at a con.

I always liked the Plastic Man vs. Ruby Ryder stories, including the Batman-Metamorpho-Plastic Man two parter and the Batman-Metal Men-Green Arrow story that finished off Ruby's appearances.

The fake-out team-up of Joker and Batman, which turned out to be a deathtrap for Batman, natch, way back in the day was a fine issue as well; I wonder how many readers of Shadow of the Bat #38-9 or 81 knew that Wilde Norton was referring to the events of that long-ago issue?

And while it's more important for Green Arrow than for Batman, the classic "The Senator Has Been Shot" isa fine tale.

A few of my personal favorites:

B&B 75: Batman and the Spectre: The Grasp of Shan ZI

B&B 79 Batman and Deadman: Track of the Hook

B&B 96- Batman and Sgt. Rock "The Striped Pants War"

B&B 108 Batman and Sgt. Rock "The Night Batman Sold his Soul"

B&B 109 Batman and The Demon "Gotham be my Grave"

B&B 118 Batman, Wildcat, and the Joker "May the best man die"

B&B 146 Batman and the Unknown Soldier "The Secret that saved a world"

B&B 161 Batman and Adam Strange (Can't remember title)

B&B 184 BM and Huntress "Batmans last Christmas"

B&B 190 BM and Adam Strange "Who killed Adam Strange"

These are a few not already mentioned that I have enjoyed. If you can get them cheap, pick them up. Good luck!!
