In one of the very first stories of Batman in Detective Comics Batman kills a gorilla. Batman also killed a large bull and a leopard during Denny O Neil's run in the 1970s.

Ah, thanks! I honestly didn't know about the killings Batman committed during the Golden Age (other than those of human criminals), but you also reminded me of how Batman killed the shark in "Joker's Five-Way Revenge", the story that returned the KILLER Joker to comicdom.

If they'd kept The Joker low-key like THAT, I'd like him a LOT better.
