Damn, I am going to have to replace my old Batman: The Killing Joke trade paperback. I guess I will have to give it to a friend of mine.

The release of the deluxe edition hardcover of Batman: The Killing Joke tells me that the story is still very significant and until a writer of Alan Moore's caliber comes along The Killing Joke will still remain the true definitive origin of the Joker. Naysayers can question it all they want, but it is still the only real origin of the Joker. \:\-\)

Batman: Confidential comics I hope will like Batman: Son of the Demon and other comics be labeled as tales of Elseworlds in the near future. >:-)

Hopefully Final Crisis will get rid of the new unrealistic ridiculous Joker origin in Batman: Confidential.

And since it the Killing Joke itself never presented it as the definitive origin but only as how he sometimes remembered it, one could argue that the true definitive origin is that there is no true definitive origin \:\-\)
