I'm talking physically here. I know that they had that classic swordfight during the O'Neal/Adams era, but that was pretty brief. They briefly squared off during Batman #400, which was a good issue I thought. Have the two of them ever fought physically since then? They didn't really fight during the Tower of Babel Arc, probably the best Ra's story. How about during Legacy? Does anyone have any scans? Any more? Thanks.

A few years ago they had another swordfight during Jeph Loeb's "Hush" story arc, for reasons that didn't make much sense to me.

Batman and Ra's were allies in Mike Barr's "Batman: Son of the Demon" graphic novel, but were adversaries again in the sequel, Mike Barr's "Batman: Bride of the Demon" graphic novel. I reread those novels a while back when I was taking notes for my "Ra's al Ghul FAQ" -- but now I can't remember if they actually were punching and kicking each other before the end of "Bride of the Demon." (I do remember that supposedly Ra's might have "really, permanently died" at the end of it, but of course that didn't last!)

Later, in the early 90s, they had a physical confrontation in the graphic novel "Batman: Birth of the Demon," which was written by Denny O'Neil. Batman actually took a mortal wound (I think from Ra's directly) and then was saved by a convenient Lazarus Pit.

I think they had a fight during Marv Wolfman's first run on the "Batman" title, back around 1981, but it's long enough since I reread that story arc (at the same time I was rereading Barr's graphic novels) that I'm not absolutely certain if they were actually throwing punches at each other in their confrontation in Ra's secret lair, although I think they probably were.
