> Green K is too lethal. too dangerous. He's trying to come up with ways to stop Superman (or Zod etc), not kill him. Hmm. That's a point. Would have made more sense to me if they hadn't taken time to specifically mention that the research was prompted by the destruction of the ring, but it does make sense. > > (Oh, and I'd probably be better off asking this on another board, but while I'm posting here... Does anyone know if Powergirl, who is from another universe, is [currently] immune to Earth-1 kryptonite?) > > I believe she is, her molecular structure isn't New Earth Kryptonian. Thanks. ![]() > > Also... Wasn't the entire point (or a major one, at the least) of IC/OYL that the good guys (and Batman in particular) had become too dark and paranoid? And yet here we have Batman doing secret anti-Superman research, and Superman knowing about it from having spied on him. And it hasn't even been a year since we saw Batman and Robin swing cheerfully over to the roof of Gotham Central, to be greeted by applause. What's the deal? > > At a guess it's a case of "I'm doing this, and he knows I'm doing this, and I know he knows I'm doing this, etc" > > Consider that Batman was happy enough to discuss his results with Batman, and for Chris and Robin to have fun together. See, that's not exactly how I read it. Batman, joking aside, did not seem happy that Superman knew about his research. And he definitely did not seem happy about sharing it. In the end, trust and respect won out, but he needed some convincing. > I think that was in sardonic jest. Look at Robin's face in that shot. I read that expression as "Ha-ha! Busted!" A reaction to Superman knowing about it, more than Batman's reaction. And yes, like I said, I realize it was at least half in jest, but I'm guessing that underneath the joke, he was partly serious. I wouldn't be surprised if he did build a lead-lined lab/armory off in some corner of the cave. Paul ![]() | |||||||
