I found this hard to believe, especially with the Dark Knight movie coming out in July. I don't think Warner Brothers would chance a storyline like this that would contradict the movie.

This matters far less than you think. Comic fans see the movies,but the movie fans rarely read the monthly books. There are a million trades with Bruce as Batman. The current state of the character in the monthly comic just doesnt mean anything to the people who make the movies.

There arent enough of us monthly comic readers for them to care.
