He's posted a followup. Its yellow lighted so take with a definate heaping of salt.

Turns out the original plan was to kill off all the big guns and elevate them to New God status.

That was rejected and reduced to it just being Batman. Apparantly we're suppose to be getting New God Bruce Wayne vs Darkseid in Final Crisis.

Oh and also Mark Bagely's rumored project is a weekly series to be released after Final Crisis starring Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.

Help me out here...

While I'm a huge fan of the Batman, I haven't been following all of this "crisis" nonsense. I read "Identity Crisis" and liked it a lot, but after that, it just got too crazy.

So what do you mean by "New God?"
