Jason was always a good guy. His storyline in last year's Nightwing was the best story that title has seen in years. I think JT is the most interesting character in the DCU right now.

Jason Todd has barely been a good guy since crisis on Infinite worlds. He was boarder line psychotic, until they brought him back as truly psychotic. (I personally view beheading six people and carrying them around in a bag psychotic.)
Regardless of what a very, very few might think the Bruce Jones run was universal condemned as very bad....In all area's. Plot, dialogue, plausibility and characterization were all very poor. Even most Jason Todd fans have thought that.

Now DC have changed him in to a Jack Bauer rip off just to follow a current trend, when in the old days they set them. To me Jason Todd is superfluous character who has been created to satisfy a need in some bat fans to see them kill. They are in black so they must be killers. It would be cooler if they killed.... like it would make them somehow better, like killing for shows how strong they are.

Most superheros are written with powers and abilities that would making killing extremely easy for them. They wouldn't have to extend themselves in any way to do it, and they are given more than enough provocation to do so. It's just that it is a line that they will not cross. Otherwise they will just add the misery of the villains deeds, and vindicate the actions of the villains they are trying to stop.

Even if they bat clan hated guns that are other weapons that could use to kill and indeed they have them. They just have the strength of character not to use them and unless as a very last resort. Hell, all of them could kill bare handed if they choose to.

Bruce, Dick and Tim are not weak people. Being good is difficult being and villain is easy. Jason Todd is weak.

Most dictators when that rise to power normally start off with good intentions, until their power reaches beyond most people, and they answer to know one. Then they're ideals become self-righteous and absolute. Then the suffering starts.

Jason Todd only does what comes easy to him, as he lost the battle with himself ages ago. He is a terrible character IMO!
