Subj: I wrote a "Ra's al Ghul FAQ" once -- that could help! Posted: Fri Nov 16, 2007 at 06:19:59 pm EST | Reply Subj: History of Ra's al Ghul Posted: Fri Nov 16, 2007 at 03:45:52 pm EST

I'm not real hip on the history of Ra's al Ghul, but have read several stories with him in it. > > > > Just wondering what issue of Batman Ra's al Ghul died in? How long ago did he die? How was it that Batman and Ra's worked together on occasion? Any other interesting history about the relationship between Ra's and Batman. > > > > Thanks! He died (most recently) in the 9-part miniseries "Death and the Maidens," published just a few years ago, written by Greg Rucka. It's available in TPB if you want to look for it. The major point is that it introduced Ra's al Ghul's long-lost renegade daughter, Nyssa, who has a serious grudge against her father. Beyond that: About a year and a half ago, I posted The Ra's al Ghul FAQ (2nd Draft) in which I tried to sum up just about everything I knew about Ra's al Ghul. After this current event with his "triumphant return" is over and there's been time for the dust to settle, I intend to do an updated version of that FAQ. In the meantime, it can bring you up to speed on everything that I was able to research about Ra's, his family tree, his Lazarus Pits, etc., as of the spring of 2006. Of course, you'll need to brace yourself for massive Spoilers for all sorts of stories, but if you're willing to risk that, then have fun!
