I agree, although I dropped the comic after buying the first six issues to see what Miller was doing.

I honestly don't believe Frank Miller is intentionally being a jerk. I think he's doing exactly what DC is paying him to do, which is to tell the Batman stories he would tell if he could do everything according to his own aesthetic without compromise.

I just don't happen to like his aesthetic.
