> This is the climax of everything Morrison started way back in "52", when he had Bruce visit the Ten Eyed Man and his people to rip Batman out of him, so that he could start over. In doing that and then staying in Nanda Parbat, Bruce has left himself open to what is happening now. All of the stuff that has been going on since, is the result of that. This and what Granny is doing to him over in "Final Crsis" is why Bruce is like he is.

i have seen no indication yet that what granny is doing in final crisis precedes this story so i dont know how that could affect what is happening in RIP. most likely final crisis happens after RIP.

as for RIP being the climax, it still doesnt make it a good read in my opinion, i have read 52 and the ten eyed man thing but that doesnt add anything to make what is happening now in RIP any more enjoyable. i for one want a coherent and ejoyable story conveyed properly, not just easter eggs in the form of random things plucked from the silver age batman stories that contribute really nothing to the story. and dont get me wrong, i love the silver age and love to see elements of it appear from time to time, but i want it done properly. and what i mean by properly is for it to a be fun and enjoyable read not a confusing and "i have to read the last issue to understand the previous 12 issues" kind of read.
