I don't follow the comic regularly, but I'll go for the movies and DVD's.
> I only just picked up my copy of the Batman:Gotham Knight 2-Disc DVD Edition, but I figured to start a thread on it. I'll be back later tonight or tomorrow with my thoughts. Remember to mark your spoilers!

The stories were intelligent and the animation was nice in my opinion. But the problem was is that these short stories were much more focused on the character than on the action. That's usually a good thing in mainstream fiction, but when it comes to the superhero genre there's an expectation that the ending revolves around the bad guy getting caught rather than Batman having an existential moment. I don't mean for that to sound harsh, though. But, at least for me, that was my expectation going into this.
I really enjoyed the commentary, though. Mr. Conroy's story about helping to feed the 9/11 volunteers was very intereting!
