Well, it's good that you can at least recognize that. The trick is not to make it personal. I have no vested interest in either praising or criticizing Morrison; in fact, I really don't pay very much attention to individual writers or artists... I try to read and judge each story on its own merits. (I haven't bought anything by Willingham since he wrote his post-War Games "screw you" letter to the fans, but that's something different.)
Anyway, I have enjoyed some of Morrison's work in the past as well, and indeed I enjoyed most of RIP while it was ongoing. I just think the ending was hugely unsatisfying.
I'm not sure what you're getting at with the doppelganger/copycat idea. Can you elaborate?
