I am in mild agreement with the complaint because I think Batman generally works better as a more down-to-earth, realism-based, superhero. It is not odd that he is fighting outlandish, fantasical forces however. But the very clear synopsis illustrates how confusing and incomprehensible Morrison's scripts are. I think that's the bigger issue.

It is already difficult enough when one needs an audience to believe that Batman is fighting aliens or some outlandish villain. But it becomes far worse when the story telling seems so non-linear and compiled with drug-induced haze and flash-backs and dream sequences all over the place.

The story and the characters just seem monumentally confusing.

That's why I dropped the title personally.
