yet, and they've got Bat-books through August. They might not want to compete with the push of Batman: Reborn titles heading to bookstores in the Spring.
Geoff Johns is a very dependable writer, IMHO; the man can plot a solid story, and has just enough "F*ck YEAH!" moments to keep me entertained. Kind of wish he were on the regular books, but it's nice to see him on a Batman project at any rate.
As for the graphic novel format, it's probably an inevitability. I wouldn't go saying this is the end of the standard comic book, but I've been wrong before.
